ABOUT

KM_Oct 2023.jpeg

It may be that when we no longer know what to do,

we have come to our real work

and when we no longer know which way to go,

we have begun our real journey.

- Wendell Berry

My passion is to support mission-driven professionals to unlock more of their brilliance, supporting them to have impact and thrive.

I believe that professional development is especially vital for leaders to meet the enormity of today’s challenges, from addressing climate change to the struggle for racial justice. By tapping into more of our inner resourcefulness, we can strengthen our ability to show up for the world in ways that are less depleting and more enlivening.

Equity is core to my coaching practice. I prioritize supporting emerging and established leaders from historically marginalized groups as well as those who work in contexts where they have less access to and support for professional development. My background at the intersections of science and social change, residing within academia and working for a nonprofit, grants me unique insights about the challenges and opportunities in these spaces.

I am a marine ecologist by training. I've spent thousands of hours immersed in the astounding beauty and fragility of coral reefs. And for the past 20 years, I've been a facilitator, strategist, trainer, workshop designer, and held numerous leadership roles within a nonprofit organization, supporting hundreds of scientists to grow as leaders and be powerful agents of change. These experiences ground me in the incredible abundance, vulnerability, and resourcefulness of nature and people. Over the past two decades, I've increasingly realized that my mission is to support the amazing souls who are committed to creating a better world, many of whom have left parts of themselves behind somewhere along the way or have not been supported to bring their whole selves to their work.

I am a lifelong learner who is devoted to an ongoing exploration of my growth and development as well as continuing to grow as a coach. My journey of gaining freedom from my inner critic, stepping into more of my power and authentic voice, letting go of the stories and beliefs that no longer serve me, and being more present for whatever is here, enriches my coaching. As do my own experiences of navigating pain and loss.

I live in Corvallis, Oregon with my husband and two daughters. I spend as much time as possible exploring mountains, forests, deserts, and coastlines, near and far. I love to backpack, hike, meditate, trail run, read & write poetry, and practice yoga.
